T3 has reached out to Netflix for comment.

NumerousNetflix shows have been cancelledthis year, and this isn’t even the first one to be scrapped after the project had already begun.Grendel, a new comicbook adaption, was cancelled midway through filming after being commissioned for eight episodes. Just before that, Netflix confirmed thatResident Evilwouldn’t return a month after the first season debuted.

What we do know is that Netflix is introducing itscheaper ad-based tierin early November with a global roll-out set to place over the following weeks. Whether that will help its subscriber base grow or potentially even decline is yet to be seen.
