Filling your home with photos, art and paintings is one of the best ways to cherish memories whilst bringing a personalised edge to your inside space. If you think about it, a home without these things is…well, boring. Yes, you may prefer the minimalistic look, but who says artwork and photos can’t be exactly that?
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been lucky enough to try out theVieunite Textura Digital Canvas. Just like thebest digital photo frames, the Textura is able to display supersized photos and videos at the touch of a button, allowing your home to come alive with happy memories and moments. Sounds good? It doesn’t stop there.
Vieunite Textura Digital Canvas review: price and availability
The Vieunite Textura Digital Canvas has an RRP of £490 and can be purchased from theVienunite websiteorSelfridges.
There are four different frame finishes to choose from, including pine, birch, walnut, and black. I’ve been reviewing the pine option which suited my living room perfectly.
Vieunite Textura Digital Canvas review: unboxing and set up
The Vieunite Textura Digital Canvas came in a rather large box, but that was expected for its size. Included in the packaging was also a mounting plate, installation guide template, installation guide, AC plug and small spirit level.
Now, setting up the Textura is not a simple ‘hang on the wall and you’re done’ situation. Its internal tech makes it rather heavy, coming in at almost 6kg. This means it needs to be properly attached to the wall before being used.
On the back of the Textura is a large circular swivel mounting frame, with an inlay trough for keeping the power cable flat against the wall. The mounting plate is then attached to the wall, and can be turned to hang the frame in a portrait or landscape position.
Whilst this isn’t as easy as hanging something normally, it wasn’t a complicated process, taking about twenty minutes to set up in total.

Once the Textura was on the wall, it felt safe and secure. I was also really happy with its size, coming in at 45 cm x 71.1cm x 34 cm. It’s big enough to make an impact, but doesn’t obtrude in any way.
It is a shame that the canvas is only available in one size. However, there’s room for Vieunite to improve on this, and I’m sure it’ll be a priority for the brand in the future.

Vieunite Textura Digital Canvas review: design and features
The main selling point of the Vieunite Textura Digital Canvas is that it enables you to create a personalise gallery that fits into your home’s aesthetic. When you think about it, that is reallyreallycool. Depending on what you go for, art can cost thousands of pounds, so the Textura provides a huge variety of decor options at a fixed (and singular) price.
When it comes to the actual canvas, the Textura uses advanced texture-accurate display technology to maintain a surface finish and enhances the details of chosen artwork. It features a diffused anti-glare finish and high-definition screen which offer an extremely realistic look to the content displayed.
One design factor that lets the Textura down is its exposed power cord. There are a lot of people out there that would be content with having the canvas on a sideboard, enabling them to hide the cord entirely. However, I think one of the best things about choosing your own art is the ability to feature it on your walls, so it’s an important factor to include. I luckily have cream walls, but I can image those with darker walls would struggle to blend the cord in.
It’s also only 195cm long, which didn’t feel overly long. However, I had a conveniently-placed plug point, so it wasn’t the end of the world.

There are also two small speakers at the rear of the frame, allowing any videos you display to have sound as well. These weren’t particularly impactful, but the Textura isn’t a TV, so it would be unfair to expect the same kind of features.
Vieunite Textura Digital Canvas review: app
The Textura can be fully controlled and customised using the Vieunite App, allowing you to select the artwork or photographs you’d like to display. One of my favourite things about the app is that it adds new artists and pieces to peruse daily, which is great if you like switching things up. This part of the app is really easy to navigate, and it’s simple to select a piece of art you like and send it to the canvas.
The app organises the artwork into themed collections which made it easy to find my favourite pieces. Many of them also have a short background descriptions, so I found myself learning about the artists and context behind each piece - so interesting!

I found this process slowed the app down, and a lot of the cropping didn’t always work. Whilst it was fun to display my own photographs, I found myself gravitating towards solely using the artwork provided instead. However, it was useful being able to adjust the display timing and screen brightness.
At times, I also wished there was a separate remote control, especially as it’d be nice to have the choice.
Vieunite Textura Digital Canvas review: performance
Overall, I was really impressed with the performance of the Vieunite Textura Digital Canvas. Being able to display a never-ending variety of artwork or photos was something I’d never experienced before, and I never knew how much fun it’d be before trying out Vieunite’s model.

The high-definition quality of the screen is something you notice straight away, and whilst the texture varies between each piece, the quality doesn’t go away. As you can see below, the varying textures successfully mimics the artist’s technique. I loved experimenting with this, and finding artwork that suited my living room’s interior was easy and compelling at the same time.

We haven’t reviewed a lot of smart digital art frames before, but if we had to choose one alternative, it would beSamsung’sThe Frame (2023). Not only is it a 4k TV, but it has to ability to turn your home into a virtual gallery. The price definitely reflects the amount of things it can do, but there’s six sizes to choose from, bringing a whole load of a variety.
