Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked showcase happens twice a year: typically in February, showcasing its latest flagship Galaxy phones (and perhaps tablets and/or laptops); then again in August, typically showcasing its foldable devices (and perhaps fitness/smartwatch products).

We’ve already seen what Samsung’s 1st February 2023 Galaxy Unpacked event delivered –T3’s live blog, now Unpacked recapcaptured all the action around the SamsungGalaxy S23, S23 Plus,S23 Ultra, plusGalaxy Book laptops– and we look forward to reviewing all those tasty new products in full in due course.

Now, even though there are another six months to go until the Galaxy Unpacked August 2023, that’s already where we’re looking, well into the future, so here’s a glimpse of what we could possibly maybe expect to see at that next Unpacked event…

To be honest there were no surprises when it came to this Galaxy Unpacked. The rumours had leaked like a sieve, really, with the 2023 flagship phones – that’s the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra – being almost entirely known about prior to the event happening.

In summary, the Galaxy S23 series doesn’t differ wildly from its Galaxy S22 series predecessors. There’s a more unified design language, in that everything looks a lot more like an ‘S23 Ultra Mini’ from the back, oh and the prices have risen rather a lot (such is inflation in 2023, eh?).

We’ve explored how theGalaxy S23 differs to the Galaxy S22, and how theGalaxy S23 Ultra differs to the Galaxy S22 Ultra, too, in separate comparison features. Just so you know what’s new and what to expect between them.

What may have been more surprising with this Galaxy Unpacked event, however, was the push in the laptops space. The Galaxy Book 3 Pro and Galaxy Book 3 Ultra are high-end and pricey laptops, with software that integrates seamlessly with Samsung’s phone and laptop products too.

Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked on 10th August 2022 revealed itsbest folding phones. Namely theGalaxy Z Fold 4andGalaxy Z Flip 4.

That wasn’t all, though, as Unpacked summer 2022 was also the hosting ground to reveal theGalaxy Watch 5, 5 Pro, and theGalaxy Buds Pro 2, too.

The early-mid August date breaks the older cycle from when Samsung used to utilise the IFA tech show, hosted in Berlin, Germany, to present its Unpacked showcase. While Samsung will still remain in attendance at that show, it’s used far more as a showcase, to get its latest kit in front of as many eyeballs as possible.

A bumper showcase, as ever, this Unpacked revealed theGalaxy Z Fold 4 large-screen foldable, theZ Flip 4 clamshell foldable, the Galaxy Watch 5 series, and the newest earbuds, the Galaxy Buds Pro 2.

The previous Galaxy Unpacked was back in February, its typical first half of the year slot, where Samsung revealed its Galaxy S22 range: theS22,S22 Plus, andS22 Ultra. That wasn’t all, though, with the company also revealing its Galaxy Tab S8 range in the S8, S8 Plus, andS8 Ultra.
